If motherhood came with an instruction manual, I would have read it from front to back by now. I kid you not.
When you’re a perfectionist – like I am – you hold yourself to unrealistic standards. You try to quickly study and acquire as much knowledge as possible. Because knowledge is power, right?
Well that’s not quite the case with motherhood. It’s impossible to know what you don’t know until you don’t know it.
The morning I woke up and looked at my Rose at 2 months old whose eye was closed shut. No amount of knowledge could have prepared me for it. Who would have thought a 2 month old could get pink eye.
My point is there is just too many things that can happen during the parenting journey. You can never be 100% prepared for all the curve balls no matter how much reading you do.
