10 things that God say I am

As believers, we often struggle with self-doubt and negative self-talk. But the Bible is filled with powerful declarations about our identity in Christ. Here are 10 things God says you are:

1. Loved: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

   Accepted: “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)

2. Forgiven: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
3. Chosen: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)  
4. More Than a Conqueror: “But in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
5. A New Creation: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)  
6. Holy: “But you are holy people to the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 7:6)
7. Light of the World: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
8. Salt of the Earth: “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” (Matthew 5:13) 
9. A Child of God: “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)
