When it comes to the space under the kitchen sink it’s like if it doesn’t slap you in the face then its not under there. And for some reason the space under the kitchen sink is always deep. Unless your a plumber who really wants to crawl in the area under the kitchen sink.

Like I have mentioned in previous post sometimes you will find yourself reorganizing certain spaces in your home multiple times. Under the kitchen and bathroom sink are both areas that I find myself revisiting. Likely because they are just like junk drawers.

You think of them as spaces no one will look at. So even once you have cleaned under the kitchen sink you often find yourself throwing random stuff under there out of habit.

You have been warned, so be mindful of this in the future. This organization project can go one of two ways, you can reorganizing this space multiple times or commit to keep it tidy along the way. Either way it’s totally up to you.

If we’re being honest no one purposely keep things a mess. The mess usually just creeps up on you before you know it.

You are not alone in this home organization struggle. I get it. As I write this I’m thinking about how I need to get off my butt to reorganize under the kitchen sink area.


It has been about a year since I last organized under my kitchen sink. I went reorganizing crazy when I was nesting during my pregnancy with Rose.

But now that she’s here and life is happening. My home is once again back to looking like a hot mess.

Needless to say its time for me to tackle under the kitchen sink again in our home. So here are a few essentials that will help you to organize under the kitchen sink.

1. Plastic Caddy – I think I recommend some form of baskets on every home organization project. I guess I just can’t get enough of them. They just come in handy with cleaning, organizing, and decluttering. With these plastic caddy I like to create a cleaning caddy that I can take out to conveniently clean different areas of the house. We have two and they are great for storing cleaning rags and sprays.

2. Command Hooks– Using hooks on the inside of your cabinet is a perfect solution for hanging your rubber gloves.
3. Spray bottles– I love these spray bottles and I use them to dilute my household cleaners. I own every one of the spray bottles that the Dollar Tree sells. Although these are on smaller size they will fit perfectly in your cleaning caddy. Plus they have lasted the longest all the other one have broken on me except this one. 
4. Wire shelf– This one depend on what kind of products you store under your kitchen sink. I tend to buy bulk size products, so this wouldn’t work for me. But this wire shelf maybe helpful for stacking different products.

5. Over the door storage for plastic bags these are perfect for organizing all those empty grocery bags in one place.

6. Shelving unit – These two tier drawer organizers are great for storing scrubbing pads, dish detergent tabs, and other small items. 

7. Plastic Storage Bins are great to store and stack different items like rags, cleaning supplies, and so on.

    In case you are looking at this post wondering where are your before and after photos for your under the kitchen sink organization project. While our family is currently in transition.

    With the possibility of downsizing in loom I decided not to take on any home organization project since I maybe packing up our home soon. With a little one the prospect of moving is a big task.

    So we are slowly but surely packing items we don’t use and storing them with family. If we do move we most definitely won’t have as much space as we do currently. Which should inspire some interesting solutions that I will share with you.
