I don’t know about you but what a relief it is to know that God has already prepared me to overcome temptation. I found myself feeling disconnected failing to do my bible study routine. 

Although to many this may not be an egregious sin or misstep it doesn’t make it less of a failure in my book.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV

When I don’t stay connected and committed to my relationship with God, I have a habit of thinking I can do it in my own right.

Taking credit for the good things happening in my life and believing it is because of my effort instead of a gift from God. To me that is just as dangerous as being tempted to steal or kill. 

So, whatever your secret sin is that Satan dangles in your face or slides into your peripheral view.

When you find yourself feeling disconnected, distracted, or worried.

• Get back in the word.
• Reignite your prayer life
• Remember you are already victorious because of Jesus Christ.

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
