You don’t have to do it alone. Those are the words I have to keep telling myself and sharing with others. Yes, you are amazing. Yes, you can do all things in Christ.
But you don’t have to do it alone. It’s okay to ask for help. It doesn’t make you less of a woman, wife, mother, or professional. God put all these people in your life because you don’t have to do it alone.

I know I’m repeating myself. But I had to say this to myself a lot of times and hear it from a lot of different people. Before I actually had the courage to open my mouth and ask for help.
Whatever you’re struggling to manage. Whatever is keeping you up at night. Whatever is plaguing your brain and making it difficult for you to have peace.
I encourage you today to give it to God. Ask him to intervene on your behalf. To place those in your path that can help you to overcome. And trust that God will make you whole again.
You don’t have to be stressed. Don’t claim it. That’s one of the things I had to give up was saying, I’m stressed out.
Instead of being stressed out, look at what areas you are being stretched in. Think of how you can find relief in those areas of your life. Because God won’t give you more than you can handle.

Life is truly crazy. I was literally sitting down reading Fervent by Priscilla Shirer when I received a text from a friend. She asked that I please pray for her.
She told me that over the weekend she found herself feeling anxious. And at some point she found herself having suicidal thoughts. She didn’t act on it but just the fact that she had the thoughts concerned her.
All I could think is this ain’t nothing but the devil.
I have never been one for giving the devil credit. To be honest I have always been one who underestimated the devil. Therefore I never took the time to understand the way he works within our lives to try to keep us from achieving God’s glory.
But reading Fervent helped me to better understand how the devil works and who he is based on scripture. Moreover, Priscilla teaches how to use prayer to overcome the schemes of Satan.
Today I wanted to share the prayer that I prayed for her. Now I’m sharing it with you in hopes that if you find yourself facing anxiety this will help you cope.
Prayer for Anxiety and Stress
Dear Heavenly Father, we know that Satan is constantly at work to undermine you. Constantly plotting and creating plans that are targeted at our weaknesses. So much so that we often fail to recognize the salvation we have in Christ. For us, every failure and sin is already forgiven.
Lord help us to choose you every day despite temptation. Stay in the forefront of our hearts, minds, and spirits. Take our burdens and remove the spirit of fear that tries to render us powerless to anxiety.
Because we know that you gave us a spirit of courage and self-discipline. We know that you have a plan and purpose for our lives. Any thoughts that try to hinder us from following your will.
We ask that you remove them, Father. We ask that you remove anything from our lives that does not bring you glory. For we know you deserve all the honor, praise, and glory.
We just come to you today asking for your help. Help us to trust you within every area of our life. Help us to be ok with not understanding the fullness of your plan. And most of all helps us to lean on your wisdom and not our own understanding. May all our sins, fears, failures, and faults be covered with the blood of Jesus. Amen
