Dream Big and Be Bold: How to Overcome Obstacles

In my personal journey, the steps I need to take to get to where I am going aren’t written on a piece of paper and here’s why. I can make the meanest to do list, but my head won’t allow me to get any of those things done. I am a perfectionist, so my plans always spiral into this endless string of what more can be done to make things that much better. What I have come to recognize is that it is just fear that holds me back. If you’re the same way, then stay tuned…

Plain in simple. Don’t allow self-doubt and other people’s opinions stop you from achieving greatness. YES, you will achieve greatness. Anything that you are genuine, passionate, and persistent with, will be successful. Don’t let life’s circumstances get you off track.
Do you know how many times I have fallen on my face? I mean literally, like with actual bruise but I never stop getting up. Even when society told me I wasn’t good enough, I never stopped trying.

“Obstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.”-E. Joseph Cossman

For example, do you know how many jobs I applied to before getting hired… at least 75 jobs! And that was just my 1st job. Since then it has been over 150, and I’ve only had 2 full-time jobs since leaving graduate school. Even while in school, I experience obstacles that could have crushed my determinations. Several of my teachers and professors told me my writing was subpar. But I never gave up, and I have never scored less than a B in any course.

The point is, that I want you to stay focus on your dream and what you want to achieve. Just know that you are not the only one struggling to not get up. We all have moments of self-doubt and fear and its okay. Don’t let that deter you from achieving greatness!!!

Love this! I can be a perfectionist at times myself so I can relate to this sooo well. But I also appreciate the reminder to remain focus on your dreams and not care so much about others opinions. Thank you!
